The day when 3000 people died and families and friends lost loved ones, 9/11. We must never forget! To forget is to forget the lives of the people who lives were lost, as well as the people who sacrificed their lives to save their fellow-man. When I read the article Captain Timothy Stackpole: A Hero Remembered I was touched by the care of one hero and his dedication that is not to be forgotten.
I went to New York soon after 9/11 and I never forgot the smoke and the smell. Also watching the first responders who worked the site was inspiring during the tragedy. The metal and smoke was something that could never be wiped away from your memory.
Honoring those today and never forgetting who they were and the families that conitnue to remember.
