Today is dedicated to the largest organ, skin. The focus on Melanoma supported by the American Academy of Dermatology to have people stop, think and inspect for melanoma’s for good health. “The aim of Melanoma Monday is to raise awareness about melanoma. Melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer in which cells within moles on the skin becoming malignant (cancerous) and can spread rapidly to other areas of the body if left untreated,” reported by What Health.
This information is to make people aware that “of the different types of skin cancer, melanoma is the most deadly and accounts for about 75% of all skin cancer fatalities.”
Find a friend to inspect areas of your body that are readily visible such as your back. Look for markings the size of an eraser. Do not alarm but make sure you visit a doctor when you find areas of question.
As Spring and Summer is blooming consider that keeping your skin covered. The use of skin protections such as UV cremes and hats are a start. Many want a tan but there are consequences to sun rays.
Be aware and and perform “SKIN” care!
