Over a hundred days have passed holding up the confirmation of Loretta Lynch for Attorney General. She has been touted as one of the best candidates for the office and yet the Senate delayed the confirmation. Today Lynch was confirmed to the position by the U.S. Senate.
Lynch was to be confirmed upon the return of the Senate in January -hold and more hold!
If you know anything about the District of Columbia when transition periods are in play there is halting of decisions awaiting new leadership.
The country has lost a step because of this delay. The game of politics continues to affect decision-making.
We await great things from our new Attorney General the first Black Woman Attorney General as the out going Attorney General Eric Holder moves to his next role.
