“To act energy efficient is different than being energy efficient. The goal is perform both which then produces measurable and impactful efficiencies that changes thinking, actions and results.”
The role of energy efficiency is becoming more relevant as we consider the fragility of the grid we have become so dependent. The consideration of resources does not mean to have a crisis mentality but one of sustainability. The cost of energy is increasing as consumption rises.
Energy efficiency is a forewarned to forearmed to combat cost and changes that will effect residences and businesses. I have witnessed the toll of energy on churches and schools. Institutions that have older buildings and have to manage the consequences of obsolescence. This cost effects these institutions in their wallets by increasing consumption to account for the inefficiencies.
The role everyone plays in energy efficiency is to manage the energy they have and reduce the inefficiencies continuously.
