ZEEN ARCHITECTURE- The beauty of new architectural design supporting linkages between art, engineering and environment fall in a developing nexuses of what buildings are becoming.  What was once the normalized view of a facility and/or building is being challenged to create what is called, zeen architecture.  This concept of space by “sane architecture recognized for taichung city cultural center proposal” is truly zeen.

The “Paris-based studio sane architecture has been awarded highly commended for their proposal of the ‘taichung city cultural center’ at the 2014 MIPIM architectural review future project awards.  Recognized in the cultural regeneration category, the brief called for an urban space that combines a public library and municipal fine arts museum into one area, bringing art, education and recreation together. Located on the northern end of taichung gateway park, the project also integrates into its surrounding landscape, becoming a key landmark and entryway for the site.”

New world of thought is changing the dynamics of build by “proposing a lightweight structure, the key concept of the design is permeability, creating a complex urban environment that serves the museum and public library programs. offering a mix between the natural and built form, a sustainable approach has been adopted with the building able to produce electricity from the energy of the wind through the use of an invelox system, different of conventional wind turbines. Each one of the 15 vertical towers will be fitted with an omnidirectional funnel, which will capture the wind and direct it through tapering passageway, naturally accelerating its flow through the use of several venturi tubes. the individual streams of kinetic energy will then drive a single generator that is installed safely and economically at ground level,” posts Design Boom.

The willingness to create change architecture is innovating the land and providing new view on architectural realism with application. These building are delivering a story to the environment that are applicable for study on sociological meaning identifying the impact on culture from internal and external environment. The comment on how we are to work and engage with the structure is surfacing.  Further, buildings are symbols of city that support its use of the energy and resources.

The art of architecture blended is leading its user to become educated on how the building plays a role on the work, environment and the culture of its inhabitants and community. Buildings can support the organic nature of work to produce and perform within a healthy, safe and environmental centric space.
