For those reading this news you are in the 35 percent. The world population does not have access to internet or web technologies. Staggering, only 35 percent have access to the internet. As the term “Internet of Everything” grows and expands to an ever approaching reality of us being web enabled the numbers convey that 65 percent of the world will be in the “digital divide everyday”.

This work to close the digital divide is not only for the web enabled but the “web disabled” to develop access to technology.  Many have access only through their phones. This limited access is one step but nine data points to optimal under the conditions that ten is the highest form of access.

Guru Voices such as, “Vinton (Vint) G. Cerf has served as vice president and chief Internet evangelist for Google since October 2005. In this role, he is responsible for identifying new enabling technologies to support the development of advanced, Internet-based products and services from Google. He is also an active public face for Google in the Internet world. Cerf is the former senior vice president of Technology Strategy for MCI.”

The role of leadership to advance access is formidable but complex. Access is shift in thinking where the economic model was build upon non-access. The ability to connect disparate communities globally is injecting intelligence and knowledge where it did not exist is providing change that becomes education.

The work to convert internet access to meet the new world order of intelligence is creating a new socioeconomic web.  This is an anthropologist and sociologist dream to observe and study civilization with new capabilities. This is akin to Star Treks prime directive when you enter a society you change that society to what end.
