The ability and advocation to reach back and instill in others the paths of success is acting in the present to pull forward is sustainable thinking. This month is Black History Month, the celebration and acknowledgement of the history and presence of a race that is has prolific impact in the U.S. and around the world. The month is a time to share and honor the many who have made a difference. The contribution of “Basketball Legend Magic Johnson Returns to Cincinnati for Mercy Health’s Black History Month Celebration” covered education, passion and discipline as the keys to success.

Mercy Health, together with parent company Catholic Health Partners, presents its second annual Black History Month celebration and community event featuring NBA legend and top businessman Earvin “Magic” Johnson. This year’s theme is “Celebrating History While Making History.”
Mr. Johnson said that education is key. He always knew he wanted to be a business man. He shared that discipline is key to overcoming. Further, one must be willing and bale to lose, as well as work hard. No matter what continue to learn.
He as the owner of the Laker’s and Starbucks trove for partnerships and ownership. He energetically offered that it is important to know your client and their needs. He also shared that relationships are important. Oscar Robertson was his hero but he could not gain access to him at the time so others in his community provided him instruction. His parents he remarked were his heroes and if it were not for his wife he would not have achieved and been alive.
The event was well attended with more than 800 stakeholders in building of dreams. He shared that one must have a dream and goal that no one should be able to destroy or dismantle.
