The Vscan replaces the traditional stethoscope that has adorned the necks of doctors for a century. The stethoscope has been the hallmark of doctors and the new technology is set to replace this normalized practice of “breath please”. The stethoscope is passed down in families and is priced from $25 and above yet, the Vscan in above $200 and requires training.
The outcome of any innovation is lead time to normalization requiring education, cost challenges and standardization to achieve measurement for best practices. The transition from stethoscope to ultra scan will lead to new changes and more data than before.
