The loss of great minds profoundly effects the creative energy and momentum to generate great societies. The loss of Margaret Thatcher the Iron Lady a profound influence in politics, diplomacy, leadership and women has left this earth. What is the succession plan for bounding intelligences that nations require to drive a global economy. Her leadership and influential knowledge that galvanized a nation around foreign affairs, race, economics, social change and the environment. When these learning’s are not integrated into the fabric of our discourse what remains is a historical reference and footnote.
“Lady Thatcher, 87, Britain’s first female prime minister, had been in poor health for months. She served as prime minister for 11 years, beginning in 1979.”
Thatcher “The peacetime prime minister”
“First woman prime minister”
What we lose upon the death of a profound leader is their brilliance, leadership, and commentary on change. The need is to remember and refer to the points that can be used today and honor what was once achieved. Good bye the Honorable Mrs. Thatcher.
